This Honduran coffee plant is produced on small farms in Marcala, a region blessed with a nearly perfect coffee-growing environment. These plants are grown at elevations of 4,500 to 6,000 feet in Marcala, a region of southwest Honduras that is said to produce the finest coffee in the country.

The coffee tree is actually a type of tropical evergreen shrub and will grow to a height between 16 and 40ft (all depending on growing conditions). They are however best kept to a height of 6ft if being grown for the bean.

They can be easily grown indoors as an attractive potted specimen, and during the summer months can be moved outside.
